[Advice For A Close Friend: He has been trying to transfer from NTU to NUS but all his applications and appeals for three years got rejected. Can someone help?] Hello Singapore, I have a close friend in NTU who is staying off Reddit but I want to help him out. He has been trying for three years to transfer from NTU to NUS but all his transfer applications and appeals got rejected. He knows grades in NTU are important but he is totally lost in how to handle his studies in NTU, as his grades are not high enough. He called the NUS admissions office and they told him to score higher this semester but he is discouraged because he got back his recent midterm result and it is a 13.33% out of 20%. He was actually initially offered a spot in NUS and he never wanted to enter his current course (Physics) and NTU but had too much negative external influence and pressure. This is the last semester he has before he enters Year 4 and he doesn't want to withdraw from his course without obtaining a spot in NUS first nor graduate from NTU because he wants to return to the good old days when he enjoyed and excelled in school prior to university, and live his dream in NUS. He is currently at a total loss of how to handle his studies. He is extremely well-mannered, and I can see that he really wants to be to improve his grades to first-class for his current semester to get a transfer spot in NUS, but I am totally lost at how to advise him. It is tough for me as a friend to see him in this state. Can someone advise him on this so that I can pass the info to him? Thank you so much, and I wish you a good 2022 ahead!
